Terms of sale
In effect from 2026-09-10
01Who you are buying from
These terms govern the sale of a single first-name analysis by Julian Klubak, Dieburg, Germany, trading as Onoma. Full contact details are in the imprint. Questions and complaints go to support@onoma.life, and we answer them ourselves.
02What is being sold
You are buying one written analysis of one first name, delivered as a web page and as a PDF you can download. It has ten sections covering linguistic origin, historical meaning, archetypal profile, personality associations, symbolic meaning, cultural perspectives, religious and traditional associations, strengths, shadow traits and an overall summary.
The price is $8.99 for a single analysis. That is the final price: value added tax, where it applies to your country, is already contained in it, and nothing is added at checkout. This is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel.
Your receipt from Stripe shows the tax portion separately, as the law requires. If you are a business with a valid VAT identification number, enter it at checkout and the reverse charge procedure applies.
03What the analysis is, and is not
The etymological and historical parts draw on standard reference sources. Where scholars disagree about a name's origin, the analysis says so rather than picking a side silently.
The interpretive parts, meaning the archetypal, symbolic and personality sections, are presented as interpretation. They describe patterns that naming traditions have associated with names of a given meaning. They are not measurements, not predictions, and not statements of fact about you or anyone else. They are not advice of any kind, and specifically not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
04How the contract is formed
You enter a first name, receive a free preview, and choose whether to buy. Selecting the purchase button takes you to Stripe, our payment provider, where you enter your payment details. The contract is formed when Stripe confirms your payment.
We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles them. What we receive from Stripe is the confirmation that a payment succeeded, together with the first name you entered.
05Delivery
Delivery is immediate. As soon as Stripe confirms the payment you are returned to the complete analysis, and the PDF is available from that page. Keep the link: it is your copy and it stays valid.
If you gave an email address at checkout, we also send the link and the PDF to that address. If nothing arrives, check the spam folder and then write to support@onoma.life and we will send it again.
06Right of withdrawal and its loss
As a consumer you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Digital content delivered immediately is treated differently.
At checkout you agree that we begin delivering the analysis at once, and you acknowledge that by doing so you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as delivery has begun. This is what the law requires us to tell you, and it is why the analysis appears the moment payment is confirmed.
If you would rather keep the withdrawal right, do not buy. The free preview stays available and costs nothing.
07Refunds
The withdrawal right is one thing and fairness is another. If the analysis fails to load, the PDF will not open, you were charged twice, or you bought the wrong name by mistake, write to support@onoma.life within thirty days and we will refund you in full. You do not need to argue the point.
What we will not refund is disagreement with an interpretation. The sections are marked as interpretation throughout, and the preview shows the tone before you pay.
08What you may do with it
The analysis is for your personal use. You may read it, keep it, print it and give it to the person whose name it describes. You may not resell it, republish it, or present it as your own work.
09Liability
We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation that is essential to the contract, and then only for damage that was foreseeable and typical for a contract of this kind. Any further liability is excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
10Law and changes
German law applies. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
We may change these terms for future purchases. The version in effect when you buy is the version that applies to your purchase, and the date at the top of this page shows which one that is.
